This cable will also provide power to eTrex Legend C and Vista C via the cigarette lighter socket with voltage of 12-30 volt DC, commonly found in cars, boats and general aviation aircrafts. The power is provided through the mini USB port in the eTrex Legend C and Vista C GPS receivers. This cable is comparable to Garmin part number 010-10563-00.The cables are fully molded from end to end for durability and safety. Note to Nuvi Customers: The Nuvi GPS is equipped with two (2 each) USB port. The cable will recharge your GPS internal batteries through the side USB port. Purchased as additional Garmin nüvi 255W 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator car power cord for the wife's car. Looking at the original and this generic side-by-side, one could hardly tell which is which. Plugs into your lighter socket, and has enough length to reach about any location in the front of a vehicle.

So far the device has worked for a few months on my Legend Cx. It is a must have for any car navigation as you will need to keep the backlight on. Seems to be a sturdy design. I would say it is a good buy for the price.
